It is a cold windy day in October with an overcast sky predicting premature snow flurries. How lonely that corn stalk stands; it's flimsy leaves flapping so helplessly in its last moments of so brief a summer's life. "From the earth was I born, and now back to dust; to death. But oh, oh, did anybody out there see me when I was at my finest, in all my silky greenery....in July; did anybody love me; appreciate me that I "ever was"?
